Sarasota, FL - Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA), the largest trade association for professional videographers, has announced the 2009 "Call For Entries" for the WEVA 19th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition with a brand new category Wedding Movie Trailer. Deadline for all entries to be received by WEVA is 5:00 pm Tuesday, June 30th, 2009.

The 2009 winning entries will be officially announced
and screened at the WEVA Creative Excellence Film Fest September 14th during the “Opening Night Gala” of the WEVA 19th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo at the brand new Hilton Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL.

The newest competition category is Wedding Movie Trailer. One of the most popular and effective ways today’s videographers are marketing their work is
through the use of short, film-like trailers. In this category, entries must not exceed 2.5 minutes

"Each year, WEVA invites all professional videographers to enter their finest work in our industry’s most prestigious awards competition," said WEVA Chairman Roy Chapman. 16 Video Categories

The 2009 WEVA Creative Excellence Awards Competition embraces 16 video categories. Like last year, the Official Rules allow you to enter as many of the categories as you wish, and you may submit up to two video entries per category.

The WEVA categories welcome videos that cover a variety of social events and corporate video, including weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, class reunions, recitals, theatrical/stage productions, promotional videos, graduations, band performances, cheerleading competitions, memorial services, corporate training, anniversaries, christenings, charity events, and others. Each year, awards are presented to professional wedding and event videographers nationally and internationally. Many are first-time recipients. Enter your finest work now on DVD.

The winning entries will be displayed in their entirety at Wedding & Event Video Expo 2009.
