'InTheBiz' Audio Interviews and WEVA 'BATTLE' Videos Uploaded

Sarasota, FL - Uploaded to the new WEVA On The Air (members-only) section, are two new shows for "InTheBiz." Also online now, is a new VOD VidCast in “Legends from the WEVA Vault” featuring WEVA Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame inductee Bill Cafarelli of Video Art Works Productions.
The show listings for “InTheBiz” have been rearranged so that the newest shows now appear on top. Members can listen in by going to WEVA On The Air. (Using your Forums ID, enter the Forums and click the WEVA On The Air link in the upper left corner, under Special Services. Once there, click on the WEVA show you want to watch or hear).
The initial shows in the new Audio On-Demand series for wedding and event videographers are hosted by longtime WEVA International members and podcast pioneers Kathy and Al Ritondo (pictured at the microphones). Kathy hosts InTheBiz and Al hostsTech Talk. Several shows in each series are online now for immediate member access.

'Anniversary Concept Video Shoot-Out' Now On WEVA-TV
The Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) transformed the landscape of professional development education for wedding and event videographers when it originated BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS! and introduced the "Love Story Shoot-Out" as a special "BATTLE" segment at WEVA EXPO 2003.
Two years later at WEVA EXPO 2005, in honor of the EXPO's 15-year milestone event, WEVA made history again by introducing the "Anniversary Concept Video Shoot-Out" into the exciting "BATTLE" series. The four challengers, including the winning video in this unique program of cutting-edge creativity, are all available for instant member viewing on WEVA-TV (Channel #5).
The all-new production concept gave "BATTLE" challengers the opportunity to leap beyond bridal Love Story productions to creatively produce an "Anniversary Concept Video." The twist? It was Jody & John Goolsby, one of WEVA's legendary husband and wife teams, who were the subjects of this special Shoot-Out.
The new production idea was conceived to challenge the camera skills, production style, and editing techniques of award-winning videographers. BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS!, including BATTLE OF THE PHOTO MONTAGES and BATTLE OF THE WEDDING EDITING STYLES, presented at WEVA EXPO exemplify WEVA’s mission of providing unique professional development programming for its members.
“The ‘BATTLE’ series was developed by WEVA as original programming for WEVA EXPO. The series represents an unparalleled opportunity for EXPO attendees to see how different results can be attained given similar ingredients, and to talk about techniques and concepts with the 'BATTLE' participants,” said Dan Argenas, WEVA’s Director of Association Communications. “Reflecting a combination of techniques, technology, creativity, and planning, the inspiring videos in this unique series continue to ‘raise the bar’ of production possibilities in today's competitive wedding and event video marketplace.”
Local Videographers Associations to Compete at WEVA EXPO 2006
This year for WEVA EXPO 2006 August 21-24, 2006 at Mandalay Bay WEVA is introducing an all-new "BATTLE" segment: 'Local Association Production Shoot-Out'. WEVA’s Director of Educational Development John Zale, noted that, “WEVA EXPO 2006 attendees will be the first to see all of the creative 'BATTLE' videos, and examine their new and inspiring ideas in promoting professional wedding videography, and will also be the ones to judge each of the 'BATTLE' videos as they are screened.
“With positive feedback and interest coming from a majority of local videographers associations we're seeing unifying support for a collaborative national effort that can help educate brides and the bridal media simultaneously," Zale said. “A team effort can really make a difference. We have seen that happen in just the past few months alone from the successful events conducted by local associations, including the SPVA, GPVA, and MPVA. Working together is definitely working to make a difference.”
