New 'Archive of Excellence' to Display WEVA CEA Winners on WEVA-TV

Sarasota, FL - For 2011, inspiration is coming to WEVA members on-demand, in a new WEVA-TV channel that will be home to the WEVA online “Archive of Excellence” with access available 24/7 to members only.
Already being displayed on WEVA-TV Channel 2 (via the WEVA Forums) are winning videos from the 2010 WEVA 20th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition. The 2010 WEVA Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Winners and Finalists in 14 competition categories are among the first that will be displayed in the new WEVA “Archive of Excellence” on WEVA-TV.
“The goal of the Association is to add the full 20-year history of WEVA Creative Excellence Award-Winning productions to the new Archive of Excellence that WEVA is already in the process of establishing online,” said WEVA International chairman Roy Chapman. “Winning entries are now on display for members to watch and compare, and more are being added continuously. The complete Archive of Excellence on WEVA-TV will allow members to see the incredible progression of creativity and techniques in wedding and special event productions all in one location, and all available on-demand."
Also coming to WEVA-TV for 2011, Chapman added, is more educational and system-specific instructional content with interactive components. “Recent WEVA industry surveys have shown that event video professionals enjoy the ability to learn new skills in an online, on-demand environment, and the increasing improvement in high-speed broadband is making it possible on much larger scale than ever before,” he said.
A year ago, in February 2010, WEVA became the first organization to develop and present an entire online conference and trade show for wedding and event filmmakers worldwide in a single day. “The continued success of WEVA's online programming means more educational content can be comfortably delivered to members through on-demand channels and digital media distribution. WEVA is already underway in planning exciting digital media announcements for members in 2011.”
