Show 7 - Dave Walton of JVC talks with Al Ritondo about JVC's new HD product launches. Dave also helps get to the heart of the issues regarding the February 2009 Congressional Mandate for the changeover from analog to digital TV, and what that really means.

Show 6 - Kathy Ritondo talks with Vasilli Antoniou – of Vasilli's World Video in Syracuse, NY and Treasurer of the GNYPVA (Greater New York Professional Videographers Association) who is at the show exploring HD. We talk about Canon HD cameras he uses, a system specific training session he attended, HD and lighting solutions and looking for a good stabilization device. Gary Kleiner, Steve Moses, Natalie Neal and Pat Harris each join Kathy to talk about the earliest days of wedding video and how far the equipment and the industry have come.

Show 5 - Ken Kurita Chairman of the WEVA Special Awards Committee talks about this year's Awards Presentation and the the WEVA 2007 honorees. He also discusses the online nomination form WEVA members can use to nominate fellow members for the upcoming WEVA 2008 Special Awards. The WEVA Special Awards of Industry Recognition include include the WEVA Bob Lebar Vision Award, WEVA Walter Bennett Service to Industry Award, WEVA Ambassador Award, WEVA 911 Community Service Award, and induction into the WEVA Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame.

Show 4 - David Robin, a WEVA Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame inductee and Bob LeBar Vision Award Winner talks about winning two WEVA Creative Excellence Awards this year, and his WEVA EXPO Power Session Workshop on 3D Photo Montages. Brooke Rudnick, VP of the Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association, and former WEVA Creative Excellence Awards judge, tells about the GPVA winning WEVA EXPO's Local Association Grand Prize (for most members attending) - a huge party suite at Bally’s (which this year was shared with the tying Illinois Professional Videographers Association). Billing options for clients and a fresh perspective on the cutting-edge technology displayed on the WEVA EXPO 2007 showfloor is also featured.

In segment 2, Allan Block, a WEVA 911 Community Service honoree, WEVA Creative Excellence Award winner and former Chairman of the Minnesota PVA talks about his EXPO 2007 experience and the exciting new product he developed called My Ear Buddy (www.myearbuddy.com). My Ear Buddy is a custom-molded earpiece that protects your hearing from the loud audio we face on the job. These lucite earpieces are designed to fit your ears and have a special insert section to plug in your earphones. The “Save Your Hearing Initiative” and hearing education, plus how to hear better audio, are covered as well.

Show 3 - The WEVA 2007 Creative Excellence Awards Judges Gordon Kosanovich, Judy Handley, Gordon Silver, John Deyo-MPV, and Richard Talmadge talk about the judging process for our industry's most prestigious awards competition, the criteria for judging, current trends in wedding video creativity, trends that are so over, plus pitfalls to avoid, and finally tips for videographers planning to submit work next year in the WEVA 18th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition.

Show 2 - Kathy and Al talk with three WEVA EXPO 2007 vendors about their new product launches. First up, Lon Andre, founder and owner of The Sentry Case www.thesentrycase.com. It is a three-step security system to protect your camera and equipment from theft. Next are Jeremy Green, Peggy Stevens and Andy Rosen representing the brand new and tiny Supacam. They also run Supastream.com, the system for uploading and sharing video on the web and GetReel.net, a sales and marketing tool/archival media storage and tracking system. Finally, they talk to Eddie Barber of Barber Technologies www.barbertvp.com about the Steddiepod, a camera support system and the EZ Prompter, a low-cost teleprompter, as well as other cool products available from Barber Technologies.

Show 1 - In this Opening Show, Kathy and Al talk to WEVA member Darrell Aubert (Philadelphia, PA) about the impact of WEVA EXPO, the value of networking, switching to HD, and the stand-outs at the WEVA EXPO Opening Night Creative Excellence Awards Film Fest. Also - you'll hear EXPO featured speakers Adam Mancini and Eric Model discuss their EXPO Instant-Edit Seminar, new instructional DVD set, and the success of the 100+ Same-Day Edits they produce each year! Kathy and Al also talk with WEVA 911 Community Service Award honoree Mike Rossi, and his videographer Will, about how attending WEVA EXPO helped grow his video business from 20 jobs a year to over 200 jobs per year, his continued charity work, and the value of giving back to your local community.

Wedding & Event Videographers Association International launched the WEVA On-The-Air podcast network, an event video industry "first" in May 2006, and continues charting a new course in industry information delivery. Shows already on the network for WEVA members include "Tech Talk," "In The Biz," "Connections," and the Vidcast series "Legends from the Vault."

The podcasts dive into wedding videography's deep end to come up with fresh insights into our industry and how to achieve greater success in business.
