Number of Entries in WEVA CEA Video Competition Sets New Record

Sarasota, FL - With the processing of entries completed for Preliminary Round judging, the 16th Annual Creative Excellence Awards (CEA) Competition, presented annually by the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA), has already broken new ground by surpassing previous years in the number of video entries submitted worldwide.
“This is a record-setting year for entries into the CEA Competition and that’s exciting for WEVA International members and for our industry at large,” said Dan Argenas WEVA’s Director of Association Communications.
Entries were received from across the U.S. and from as far as Australia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Singapore. "The winning entries in all categories will be shown next month at the WEVA Creative Excellence Wedding Video Fest that will be held during Wedding & Event Video Expo 2006 where wedding and event videographers will be honored for their outstanding achievements," Argenas added.
The WEVA 2006 Creative Excellence Awards Competition features 15 categories spotlighting weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, class reunions, recitals, theatrical/stage productions, promotional videos, graduations, marching band performances, cheerleading competitions, memorial services, corporate videos, anniversaries, christenings, charity events, and other productions.
All 2006 WEVA CEA winners will be officially announced at WEVA EXPO 2006 on Monday August 21, 2006, and the complete list of all category winners will be posted on the WEVA International website.
