Sarasota, FL - It's "Final Call" for all entries in the WEVA 16th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition. There are 15 categories in which to enter your finest work in our industry's most prestigious awards competition. Deadline for all entries to be received by WEVA is 5pm on Thursday, June 22, 2006. Presented annually by the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA), this year's 15-category CEA competition, open to WEVA Members and non-Members, includes the new additions of Bridal Spotlight Production, plus Wedding Instant-Edit, and Theatrical Production.
The 2006 winning entries will be officially announced and screened at the Creative Excellence Video Fest August 21, 2006 at the WEVA 16th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo - (Click Here to Watch the Video Preview). Registration for WEVA EXPO 2006 will open shortly on the WEVA website.
The 15 video categories welcome entries that cover a variety of social events as well as corporate productions, including weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, class reunions, recitals, theatrical/stage productions, promotional videos, graduations, marching band performances, cheerleading competitions, memorial services, corporate training videos, anniversaries, christenings, charity events, and others (download the 2006 Entry Form to see category descriptions).
The WEVA 2006 CEA Competition Rules allow up to two entries per category, instead of one only.
Last year, over 50 WEVA Creative Excellence Awards, including the annual WEVA Best of Category Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Finalist Awards were presented to professional wedding & event videographers nationally and internationally. All 2006 CEA applicants will receive a WEVA International Creative Excellence Awards Competition Certificate acknowledging that your entries were "Accepted for International Competition Exhibition."
