WEVA & ImageSpan Move to BETA Phase for Bringing New Jobs to Videographers

Sarasota, FL - The Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) and ImageSpan, a worldwide automated rights management company, have moved to beta testing of a new automated system that will provide local corporate jobs to thousands of WEVA members who will upload video content into the new IT system for distribution.
Beta testing is being conducted now in the southeast in conjunction and coordination with global advertising industry leaders. “The testing involves the shooting and uploading of local and regional brand and product video into the IT system by WEVA members who are assisting in the beta phase,” said WEVA’s Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas.
This new groundbreaking project already heralded by national ad agencies as “a revolutionary new brand and promotional delivery system” is designed to cross license and embed local brand and product video shot by WEVA members into the platforms developed by ImageSpan and its global marketing brand management technology provider.
"With this venture, said ImageSpan CEO Iain Scholnick, “we have the unique ability to provide a flexible, local and national advertising network that addresses the need for brand-consistent and localized advertising content in a seamless and easy-to-use platform. Working together with WEVA, the technology partners have developed the capacity to provide the consistent sourcing, access, and capture of existing and future local raw video content that will be provided by thousands of WEVA members throughout the U.S. and worldwide. “To put it simply, local video shot by WEVA members will be piped directly into demographic-specific local advertising networks for consumption by major corporate brands,” said Argenas.
WEVA’s agreement with ImageSpan, announced in March by WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman at the WEVA Town Meeting in Philadelphia, will generate a brand new source of corporate weekday work exclusively for professional videographers who are members of WEVA.
“Our association’s agreement with ImageSpan will literally revolutionize acquisition and distribution within the video industry worldwide,” said Chapman. “The new job opportunities this brings will expand the market for our members’ skills and open new frontiers into the advertising arena for WEVA International members around the world. Following the completion of current beta testing, the soft launch of this exciting new system is set to begin in early summer. “The Global Power Launch will be held at this year's 16th Annual WEVA EXPO August 21-24, 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas,” said Argenas.
