WEVA AUDIO: Bridal Industry Leaders Share Insights

Sarasota, FL - With the cost of high-quality video equipment decreasing, and competition for bookings increasing, what is the present and future scope of wedding video business for professional videographers?
To answer that vital question, and address other key issues, the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) has reached out to leading organizations within the national and regional bridal industry and arranged face-to-face discussions with WEVA International members at local WEVA events across the country.
WEVA Hosts Bridal Industry Panels Nationwide
At the city-stops on this year's 7th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour special Bridal Industry Panel discussions, organized and presented by WEVA, featured national and regional bridal media editors, leading wedding consultants, and bridal industry association leaders.
Included were: Modern Bride Magazine, The Knot, The Perfect Wedding Guide, The WeddingPages, I Do Magazine, members from the Association of Bridal Consultants and the National Association of Catering Executives, as well as nationally-recognized members of WEVA International.
At the forefront: Is wedding video business up or down for professional videographers – and the bridal industry overall? According to the panelists at each WEVA Town Meeting city-stop, from New York to San Francisco, “It all depends....”
At the 2005 WEVA Town Meeting held in Chicago, the Bridal Industry Panel, moderated by WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman, included Joe Chambers-Chicago WeddingPages magazine; Larissa Goldenberg-Design by Larissa; Glynis Hutson-Elegant Impressions; Jane Skarosi-Weddings by Jane; Kris Malandruccolo-Elegant Videos by Kris; Brett Culp-Creative Video Productions; and Judy Alden of Jul Wil Consulting.
