HomeMovie.Com Acquires Moore Digital
March 31, 2003
Twisp, WA - HomeMovie.Com has acquired Moore Digital's professional videography business unit.
HomeMovie.Com will immediately begin producing Moore Digital's popular Economy and Deluxe DVDs, along with its own suite of custom-authored DVD products for professional videographers across North America.
Under the agreement, HomeMovie.Com will be responsible for all production, management and billing of customer's projects, the company announced. In addition to the Economy and Deluxe DVDs, Moore Digital customers will also be able order the full range of HomeMovie.Com's other products, including the Director's DVD - "the world's only full-featured online DVD editing and authoring suite."
"The combination of HomeMovie.Com and Moore Digital will create exceptional value for our professional videographer customers," said Lars Krumme, president of HomeMovie.Com. "We have moved quickly to integrate these highly complimentary businesses into the world's premiere professional DVD production company."
"Moore Digital represents an excellent fit as a leading provider of custom-authored DVD products to the wedding and event videography business," continued Krumme. "Moore Digital has a history of combining excellent sales and marketing strategies with a solid product line and has thus developed a very loyal customer base. Our proprietary technologies and reputation for quality will enable us to deliver the same high-quality Deluxe and Economy DVD products and services to those loyal Moore Digital customers -- while reducing prices and expanding available features over the months to come."
"These changes will allow me to focus on my first love -- sales and marketing," said Wes Moore, newly-appointed Executive Vice President of Sales for HomeMovie.Com. "Our two companies have played equally positive roles over the last four years in the development of the wedding and event DVD production market. HomeMovie.Com's core capabilities in DVD production and software development and its complimentary range of products will enable us to provide more powerful solutions to our existing and expanding base of professional videographer customers."
Moore Digital customers will be able to start ordering from HomeMovie.Com beginning March 31, 2003. A special page announcing the transition and how to order is posted on the company website.
HomeMovie.Com will also be retaining the services of Moore Digital's project managers as well as the Newfields, NH location. "The most important aspect of the acquisition is that there is no disruption in the level of service or quality received by our customers," said Moore. "HomeMovie.Com will be able to deliver the same Moore Digital products and services with the same high-quality we're known for, while reducing prices. Retaining Moore Digital's project managers ensures a smooth and successful transition. This is a very exciting time."
HomeMovie.Com is a leading provider of DVD conversion services aimed at the professional videographer, allowing customers to offload the PC-and time-intensive activities of capturing, encoding, authoring and burning their video to DVD while still allowing for online editing and custom authoring of their DVD.
