Laird Offers New Options for DVora Media Engine Systems
March 12, 2003
Mount Marion, NY - Laird Telemedia's DVora Media Engine line of integrated PCs is now available with new features designed to enhance performance and reliability, the company has announced.
DVora systems are now available in a heavy-duty, steel, seven-bay, mid-tower case with an advanced air-handling system. Fan control is provided by a new upgrade, the Antec "True Power" 330-W power supply.
A new locking cabinet, with an internal locking USB dongle port, further ensures system, securing against theft or loss of valuable Avid dongles. For enhanced performance during DV editing, Laird offers users an optional upgrade to the new Matrox Parhelia video card, a high-end graphics solution with an extensive palette of 2D and 3D features.
Also among the changes to Laird's DVora system is the addition of "in-field" service technology. Laird's development of completely modular media conversion package technology enables DVora systems to be serviced easily on-site, bringing added flexibility and utility to the industry-leading DVora
product line.
DVora turnkey edit solutions feature integrated, direct-to-digital inputs and outputs that allow the system to provide higher picture quality and more efficient processing of images and audio. In addition to component, composite, Y/C, IEEE 1394 FireWire, and balanced audio, Laird's DVora systems feature horizontally stable RS170A SCH locked DV signal output, compliant to SMPTE/EBU broadcast standards. Each system is certified and optimized for Avid Xpress DV 3 and other popular video editing software.
