Panasonic and GenArts Bringing New Products to WEVA EXPO 2011 Online
August 05, 2011
Sarasota, FL - Panasonic Solutions Company, a WEVA EXPO 2011 premium exhibitor, has announced pricing on 3 new pro camcorders expected for display at EXPO on October 5-6 along with the Panasonic AF100. "The 21st Annual WEVA EXPO 2011 will reach thousands of wedding & event filmmakers and digital imagers LIVE online with live video demonstrations, live video Q&A, and group video-chat for face-to-face networking between attendees, speakers, and exhibitors," said John Zale WEVA's Director of Educational Development.
The Panasonic AG-HPX250, a new P2 HD handheld camcorder set for release later this month, will list for $5,995. Weighing 5.5 pounds (2.5kg), the HPX250 incorporates high-sensitivity 1/3 type, full-HD 2.2 megapixel 3MOS imagers and a 20 bit Digital Signal Processor to acquire native 1920 x 1080 resolution images.
Two new Panasonic AVCCAM HD pro camcorders, the AG-AC160 ($4,795) and AG-AC130 ($3,895) are scheduled for release this fall. Both the AC160 and AC130 incorporate high-sensitivity 1/3-inch, full-HD 2.2 megapixel 3MOS imagers to capture native 1920x1080 resolution images, with a new, wider 22X HD zoom lens, the longest in its category.
The AC160/AC130 feature two SD Memory Card slots for relay or simultaneous recording, compatibility with Panasonic’s new SDHC full Class 10 UHS-1 (Ultra High Speed) Memory Cards, an enhanced viewfinder and LCD display, and DV recording. The AC160 also includes variable frame rate recording in 1080p, Linear PCM audio, HD-SDI output, and switchability between 59.94Hz/50Hz.
Sapphire Edge Offers High-Quality Motion F/X
Industry F/X leader GenArts, also a WEVA EXPO 2011 premium exhibitor, has unveiled Sapphire Edge ($299) for wedding & event work. The new motion effects plug-in allows you to add the high-end looks you want in a fraction of the time. All-new techniques using Sapphire Edge will be in the Conference Session lineup for WEVA EXPO 2011 attendees.
"In an interview just a few days ago," said Zale, "GenArts CEO Katherine Hays related, 'video is exploding and is fast replacing other forms of communication to do things it hadn't done in the past: build relationships, train teams, sell goods and services for small and local businesses, and of course, entertain.'
"Seeing the bigger picture," Zale said, "is what's opening up new revenue-generating opportunities for video/photo professionals, and for suppliers who want to connect with our industry on a larger scale. It’s what makes WEVA EXPO 2011 such an exciting door-opener for new techniques, new marketing, and face-to-face networking industry-wide."
Edit-System Sessions, Live Video Q&A, and Face-to-Face Networking
WEVA EXPO 2011 exhibitors such as Larry Jordan & Associates, and F-Stop Academy will also be presenting edit-system training, and business marketing sessions for wedding and event shooters during EXPO. Sessions will include live interactive video Q&A segments online with Larry Jordan in California, and Den Lennie live from London, UK.
"Wedding & event shooters live online. Many are already doing client appointments by Skype video," notes Zale. "WEVA is excited to be harnessing social media and IT resources to bring our industry together for two days of outstanding wedding film & imaging techniques, successful marketing methods, and new technology displays at WEVA EXPO 2011 LIVE Online."
