Video Industry Innovator Julian St. Pierre Has Passed Away

Sarasota, FL - Past WEVA EXPO presenter, Creative Excellence Award-winning producer, and industry leader, Julian St. Pierre of Studio Vieux Carre in New Orleans, LA has passed away. He died suddenly, of an apparent heart attack, while he was sleeping in the early hours on Monday morning. He was 53.
Julian along with his wife Terry Taravella and son, Joe Taravella, were leaders in helping the wedding industry rebuild following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He produced and co-hosted 'Wedding Planning Experience' a weekly TV show and magazine for brides in New Orleans. He was also a co-founder of Re:Frame, and later, InFocus.
"Julian was not only a nationally recognized leader in both the bridal community and professional videography, he was also a consummate organizer and industry innovator. He will be greatly missed, and remembered always for his industrywide contributions and willingingness to share his knowledge and insights with fellow professionals in our field," said Roy Chapman, chairman of WEVA International.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16, 2009. Visitation will be 10:00am - 1:00pm with the service beginning at 1:00pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Exp., Harvey, LA 70058, (504) 367-3920. The burial will be immediately afterwards.
The family has requested that donations rather than flowers be sent to a charity, and details will follow shortly. |
