“WEVA’s LIVE-stream of tonight’s Rick Braun Concert at the Claremont is being achieved using new state- of- the-art video and internet technology that now allows today’s videographer to webcast social and commercial events live using a manageable and affordable turn-key solution,” said Dan Argenas WEVA Director of Association Communications. “Brand new technology now allows videographers worldwide to effectively become their own TV stations, and do it with basically the equipment they already own. WEVA members will be LIVE-streaming a number of events starting with tonight’s concert right up to WEVA EXPO 2009 where attendees will see how all of this is accomplished in ‘behind the scenes’ educational sessions.”
For the Rick Braun Concert at the historic Claremont Resort, WEVA members are working together to produce the streamcast as well as a behind the scenes production, and more! Leading the streamcast coverage is Ryan Bodie of Studio 26 Productions and his crew members Erin Bodie and Britton Foster. “Ryan has already amassed quite a list of concert videography including Jefferson Starship, Mindi Abair, Brian McKnight, and Foreigner.
WEVA members shooting, and also producing additional content in conjunction with tonight’s streamcast include, Lisa Randall, Rick Randall and Jaimeson Randall of Dynasty Video Productions, and Sue Lawson and Bruce Himmelblau of Blue Sky Video Productions. "These WEVA professionals will not only bring the live concert to computer screens and portable devices, they will be providing views and insights on how it’s done in upcoming presentations,” said John Zale WEVA Director of Educational Development.
“If you haven’t been witnessing the new frontier of streaming your events, including weddings LIVE, you are about to be introduced to the next generation of viewing,” Zale said. "With the advent of the new and affordable streaming platforms combined with modern social media like LIVE CHAT, it’s now possible for professional videographers to begin making LIVE-Streaming a regular part of their routine video options."
