Bay Area Professional Videographers Association Streams April Meeting
April 17, 2009

Sarasota, FL - “We are really excited about the upcoming April meeting for the Bay Area Professional Videographers Association (BAPVA), expressed John Zale, Director of Educational Development for WEVA International.

The BAPVA April meeting is a Wedding Marketing/Networking meeting, where local high-end vendors will present educational programs that will inform and enlighten all who attend. The meeting will take place Monday, April 20th, 2009 with networking starting at 6:00 and the presentation beginning at 6:30PM. The meeting will be located at The Santa Clara Fire Dept. Training Center and is Free to 2009 members and Non members $25. The Live Webcast is also Free.

“This month’s theme should be fasten your seatbelts and put on your thinking caps,” states Dan O'Hara of O’Hara Productions, Membership / Marketing Director, BAPVA. He goes on to say, “We've got two meeting programs that will be jam packed with information - both technical and business.”

In the current economic environment, using personal networking to secure wedding gigs will likely become more important than usual. To address this, the BAPVA has an interactive panel discussion with a photographer, wedding planner, and venue- marketing manager. They will be discussing the most effective practices for videographers to network amongst their peer service providers. "Interactive" is the key word. Most of this panel discussion will be audience Q & A, allowing for questions and observations which will definitely make for a very lively segment.

The second program of the night, will address the subject of Audio Acquisition. It will pay close attention to video images, but will emphasize how to get the same level of quality in our audio. Sennheiser will be here to talk about necessary audio for video equipment, fundamentals of audio acquisition, and the latest FCC spectrum changes affecting wireless mics.

The BAPVA will also have their Best Practices Sharing segment and time to network and socialize within the group. It promises to be an enjoyable and informative evening.
