WEVA's MPV Program Gains Momentum in 2009
January 30, 2009
Sarasota, FL - WEVA’s MPV Program is set to go in high gear for 2009 with new graduates and an online version of the actual test. The WEVA International Merited Professional Videographer (MPV) program has recognized the professional wedding and event videographer, who is uniquely dedicated to his or her craft, and to the success of a vital and growing creative service industry.
Now, the written part of the MPV Exam test can be applied for and taken online! After passing the written test, applicants will be notified of the deadline date to turn in their DVD submissions. The process has been created to help the members become MPV's without traveling to a specific location to
take the written exam.
MPV’s newest “graduate” is Jenny Lehman owner of Jenny Lehman Film & Video in Ft. Washington, Maryland, who joins 15 others who have achieved MPV status. Jenny is a well-known and respected WEVA speaker, Creative Excellence Award winner and a WEVA Hall of Fame recipient. “Jenny is a great addition to the MPV group as she has made a commitment to excellence as a professional videographer,” John Zale, WEVA Director of Educational Development.
Successful completion of the WEVA MPV program provides a means to add accreditation, professional capability and business credibility to their clients. The integrity and prestige of obtaining this achievement from WEVA International will help prospective clients in their choice of a professional
videographer when they are comparing several videographers for their event.
The WEVA MPV program offers this special recognition to association members who demonstrate their abilities by passing specially-designed written examinations and video image evaluations; and regularly update their professional skills, both in conceptual and practical performance. The videographer who devoted the time, effort and talent it took to complete the MPV program, is truly a dedicated professional that will provide exemplary service, creativity and insight to any project they undertake. They are an asset to this industry and leaders to those who strive to become the best at what they do.
“MPV accreditation 'elevates your status as a professional videographer in the community by advertising your professionalism to others in your field and validates your skills and professionalism through continuing education”, states Dan Krieger, Chairman of the MPV Committee. He goes on to say, “the national recognition at being recognized at the WEVA EXPO will increase your credibility with videographers worldwide and may result in referrals for new business.”
