WEVA-TV Gets All-New Look and Killer Content
January 29, 2009
Sarasota, FL - John Zale, WEVA’s Director of Educational Development recently had a great deal to smile about - no, not the great winter weather in Chicago - but a successful facelift for the popular online WEVA-TV. A members-only section of the WEVA website, WEVA-TV is, "a cross between The Insider and CNN News rolled into one," Zale describes, "and it's positioned to deliver video education that's on the cutting-edge of industry news and developments."
With technology discussions, new product reviews, plus video segments based on the articles in WEVA's Wedding & Event Videography Resource Guide and more, WEVA-TV is poised to enhance the business capabilities of WEVA members worldwide.
"WEVA-TV will now incorporate 4 unique video channels chocked full of content,” Zale said. "WEVA members can select the time they want to watch as well as the programs 24/7. It's a very convenient tool."
Channel 1 – Wedding & Event Videography Resource Guide (WEVRG) will have clips relating to articles in each WEVRG issue. These segments will enhance WEVRG's print content with behind-the-scenes video and allow WEVA members to actually see the nuts and bolts of the production or subject matter of WEVRG tutorials and features.
Channel 2 – WEVA EXPO enables members to watch highlights of previous EXPOs and scenes of things to come.
Channel 3 – WEVA NEWS MINUTE Videos will supply short segments on new event video technology and techniques from videographers, manufacturers and industry experts.
Channel 4 – The WEVA Vault brings members on-camera interviews with leading wedding and event videographers who discuss their individual paths to success in the industry.
Channel 1, for example, just added 3 new segments from WEVRG: Wearing Many Video Hats – features behind the scenes with Ryan Bodie of Studio 26 productions, The Greatest (Event Videography) Show on Earth - contains highlights from WEVA EXPO 2008 featuring images from Sara Frances and editing by Animoto; and Starstruck by David Robin, a behind-the-scenes quick look at the set-ups used when he and his crew recorded James Caan and Paris Hilton for an extraordinary Bar Mitzvah Concept Video.
"The continuing evolution of WEVA-TV makes it a unique and innovative tool for WEVA members that is also easy-to-use," said WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman. "We hope every WEVA member puts WEVA-TV on their 'must-watch' list, and suggests new topic-areas for production and education."
