WEVA EXPO to Feature Free Adobe, Apple, Avid, Canopus & Sony Vegas System Training/Orientation

Sarasota, FL - With the WEVA 16th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo just over one week away, exhibitors and product-specific trainers are already in final preparation for bringing exciting, cutting-edge editing techniques for improving wedding and event video workflow and creativity to videographers going to WEVA EXPO 2006 (Aug. 21-24).
EXPO attendees will be able to sign-up for free NLE system training as soon as the Trade Show doors open Tuesday morning August 22 in the WEVA EXPO Convention Center at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Trade Show will be open for two full days Tuesday and Wednesday (see the complete schedule at www.WevaExpo.com).
In addition to Adobe’s 4-hour Pre-Convention Workshop on new Production Studio techniques (free to registered EXPO attendees) Adobe will be presenting classroom-style sessions on a variety of Production Studio techniques at their WEVA Trade Show booth.
Canopus/Grass Valley will be providing EDIUS Pro 4 training on the WEVA show floor. There will be 45-minute training classes in the Canopus booth running continuously on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Videographers will get hands-on training using EDIUS Pro 4 software running on individual laptops. Participants will also receive a free, fully-functional trial version of EDIUS Pro 4 and have a chance to win a version of this software or a REV Pro unit.
Avid will be spotlighting brand new editing techniques for wedding and event productions at booth 601 on the WEVA show floor. Avid is also sponsoring the WEVA EXPO Special Guest appearance by Heydar Adel On-Line Editor of Fox TV’s Emmy-winning “24” who will be presenting CUTTING EDGE CREATIVITY: The Art of On-Line Editing the Award-Winning "24" to WEVA conference attendees Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
Apple and Unitek have teamed to present training by Apple certified trainers on workstations running Final Cut Pro in the WEVA Trade Show. Product reps from Apple’s Cupertino headquarters will be at the booth to answer questions on all products from Apple, including portable video running on Apple’s new video iPods.
WEVA EXPO 2006 attendees will also be able to get behind the wheel to test drive and compare the newest versions of NLE software from Sony Vegas, Matrox, and NewTek at each company's respective booth on the WEVA show floor.
"With our industry’s major NLE suppliers participating in WEVA EXPO 2006, wedding and event videographers will have their best opportunity to compare the newest versions of each company's edit solutions -- and get free system training to enhance their skills," said WEVA’s Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas.
