JVC Introduces Enhanced 3-in-1 Player/Recorder Deck

Wayne, NJ - JVC Professional Products Company has introduced the SR-DVM700US, a 3-in-1 MiniDV, Hard Disk Drive, and DVD player/recorder as a follow-up to introducing the industry’s first 3-in-1 deck last year.
Replacing the popular SR-DVM70, the SR-DMV700US provides enhanced capabilities such as recording and playback from the HDD in the DV format as well as increased storage capacity.
JVC says the new SR-DVM700 ($1,795 list) offers an economical and efficient solution for archiving video and media duplication while maintaining the highest image quality by digital-to-digital signal transfer.
The 250GB hard disk drive allows for an extended recording time of up to 18 hours in DV mode or 473 hours in FR480 mode. The deck also features built-in synchronized editing functions, which allow data that has already been edited on the hard disk to be transferred digitally to disc via DVD recorder.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with flexible products that serve multiple functions. This combo deck simplifies the entire duplication process in order to optimize desktop production,” said Craig Yanagi, National Marketing Manager, Creation Products, JVC Professional Products Company. “We obtain recommendations from our customers and provide feedback to our product engineers in order to develop the most efficient and innovative products possible.”
The SR-DVM700US is DVCAM™ compatible allowing recorded DVCAM tapes to be dubbed to a DVD or HDD through the deck’s MiniDV VTR. Additional features include a designated dubbing point start, video output terminal with BNC connector to ensure a reliable and secure connection to other units, and RS-232C interface.
