New Bride-Friendly Destination Wedding Site To Launch at WEVA EXPO

Burlington, NC - Wedding Location Tours (WLT) has announced they will officially unveil at WEVA EXPO 2006 next month, a new Internet video opportunity for WEVA members who want to increase their exposure online. Through the use of innovative bridal information technology, the company says WEVA members nationwide will have the ability to produce a brief video tour of destination wedding sites that will enable brides to pre-select their sites by watching the tours online. The company’s new concept in a Bride-friendly website, www.weddinglocationtours.com will combine video tours from destination sites in all 50 states with easy access to support resources.
The new website is the creation of Jim Kernodle, owner of JPK Photography in Burlington, NC and his partners, Wayne and Kathi Jacobs, owners of VITA Digital Productions in High Point, NC.
“This is a true win-win scenario. The destination site receives a professionally-produced video tour of their facility and all its amenities, which brides can review from home, and videographers can receive credit for their productions, as well as becoming the professional videographer of choice for these destination sites,” Kernodle said. “The select site will recommend WEVA videographers to all prospective couples who choose their facility, and the site will be promoted to and visited by thousands of brides weekly. Many WEVA videographers may already have the footage needed from these sites and can use that footage to produce an edited 3-minute tour.”
All three of the principals are former wedding videographers who say they have seen the need for a dramatic new approach to wedding resource websites. “Traditional websites are 'state and vendor category focused’ and do not present the needed information in a user-friendly format,” said Kernoble. “Our new website is designed to be a ‘bride-centered’ site which organizes the needed information in an entirely new way, and designed so that brides can have easy access to a complete list of wedding vendors who service specific wedding ceremony and reception sites.”
To use the website, brides first select a state for their wedding and then view a series of brief video tours of beautiful destination wedding and reception sites. After choosing her site, the bride is presented with a complete list of local resources, from videographers to caterers.
