NewTek TriCaster(TM) Adds Mac Support
iVGA(TM) integrates Mac computers into live presentations
Las Vegas, NV, NAB, Booth SL526 April 24, 2006--NewTek today announced a new version of iVGA(TM) for Mac, a small software client that allows a presenters screen display to be integrated into a live TriCaster(TM) presentation via Ethernet.
Small and light, TriCaster embraces the power of a TV live truck in a 10lb. case which fits in a backpack. iVGA is a software application launched on a network-connected Mac. Any display on a Mac is sent across the network as a video input into TriCaster live switcher, or, can be sent through TriCaster at full-resolution to projector. TriCaster can automatically draft every iVGA running on the LAN and seamlessly select any of them as part of a live production, according to the company.
"The Mac platform is a very strong presence in the video editing and graphics production field. Bringing iVGA to Mac-based producers allows them to leverage the power of the award-winning TriCaster to expand their capabilities into live production in ways that just weren't possible before," said Philip Nelson, NewTek Vice President of Sales and Video Marketing. "iVGA and the easy-to-use, affordable TriCaster let Mac users save thousands of dollars that would normally be spent on scalers and scan converters."
NewTek TriCaster is a portable, live production system that elevates live presentations, events, product launches and seminars to network television quality. Turn on TriCaster, and in seconds, you will be mixing component video or camera sources with pictures, titles, technical drawings, and web pages. Import external VGA sources and distribute your live production at once to video, projector, hard drive and web stream. TriCaster also includes title templates, video editor, and virtual VCR for video and timed picture playback.

Virtual VCR and picture player (digital disk recorder)
Live web streaming and recording

NewTek Announces SpeedEDIT(TM)
"Worlds Fastest Video Editor" unveiled at NAB 2006.
Las Vegas, NV, NAB, Booth SL526 April 24, 2006--NewTek today announced SpeedEDIT ($495), a resolution-independent video editor designed to work quickly and efficiently on any video project, from web streams to High-Definition. According to NewTek, SpeedEdit works smoothly whether youre editing HDV, DV, MPEG-2, AVI, QuickTime or other popular video formats. Enjoy full resolution on-screen HD outputs with FireWireฎ output to camera or deck.
With SpeedEDIT, NewTek has created a faster way to edit video on a computer. said Philip Nelson, Vice President of Sales and Video Marketing. As a pioneer of the desktop video industry, weve spent years refining digital tools devoted to visual story-telling, and the result is SpeedEDIT.
SpeedEDIT features include:
Resolution independence - edit anything from web streams to HD
Mix SD and HD clips in the same project
Supports all frame-rates and resolutions
16:9 and 4:3 aspect support

According to the company SpeedEDIT allows all editing functions to be performed directly within its unique timeline and storyboard interface avoiding the intermediate steps of transcoding or pre-trimming content.
SpeedEDIT further accelerates the editing process by dynamically linking Storyboard and Timeline, which allows the performance of many common functions in fewer steps. Ripple edits, clip replacement, segment repositioning, 3D video rotation, color correction, animated titles and Targa sequence playback are just a few of the everyday tasks that SpeedEDIT performs faster than any other professional editing package.
