Sarasota, FL - Francisco Ferrer (R) of Ferrer Video Productions (San Juan, Puerto Rico) had the winning bid in the first of four auctions to raise money for the Videographers in Distress (VID) Fund, made possible by a generous donation from Adode Systems.
At the close of the auction on February 16th the bid of $520 by Ferrer was the standing bid for the brand new Adobe Video Collection Standard 2.5.
"I would like to thank WEVA and Adobe very much for the opportunity to help others in this way," said Ferrer.
Established by the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) in the aftermath of Katrina, "the VID Fund is a 501(c)3 charitable relief fund that has been distributing direct financial aid to affected videographers," said Tim Sudall, Chairman of the 5-member WEVA Disaster Response Committee which oversees the administration of the Fund. The VID Fund is managed by the regionally renown Foundation for the Mid South.
