February 10, 2006
Sarasota, FL - A special worldwide auction to raise money for the Videographers In Distress (VID) Fund has opened on eBay - Click Here!
Up for auction on eBay now is the Adobe Video Collection - Standard Version 2.5. Obtained through a generous donation from Adobe Systems for the VID Fund Auction, this comprehensive software package is brand new, never opened.
Bidding has opened and will continue until the auction officially ends on February 16th at 7:46 p.m.
The VID Fund, a 501(c)3 charitable relief fund, created by WEVA last September through the regionally renown Foundation for the Mid South, has already distributed thousands of dollars in direct financial aid to videographers affected by Katrina.
“We hope everyone will jump in and bid generously. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the VID Fund. As an IRS 501(c)3 relief fund, all contributions to the VID Fund are tax deductible,” said Tim Sudall, Chairman of the WEVA Disaster Response Committee (DRC), which oversees the administration of the fund.
All contributions to the VID Fund are being used exclusively to help rebuild the lives and businesses of professional videographers (WEVA members and non-members) who are facing enormous financial and personal challenges.
Videographers affected by Katrina may apply for direct financial aid using the application posted on the special DRC website created by WEVA to help fellow videographers in need at www.weva.com/dri
