Modern Bride/WEVA Promotion 'Call for Video Entries'

Sarasota, FL - The Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) and Modern Bride Connections invite you to enter an all-new photo/video montage competition to win the opportunity to be one of two WEVA members who will be selected to produce a creative Photo Montage Video for the 2006 WEVA/Modern Bride nationwide co-promotion.
"Each winning videographer will be recognized in Modern Bride Connections magazine and on the Modern Bride website, and profiled on the WEVA International website as well," said WEVA Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas.
The Fairchild Bridal Group, including Modern Bride Connection with its 17 regional publications in the country’s top markets, has a total distribution of 1.6 million, nationwide.
To be eligible to compete, you must be a current WEVA International member and must have attended WEVA EXPO 2005.
Modern Bride Connections will select two winning bridal couples from the current contest promotion from engagement essay submissions, to receive a fully-edited, network-quality "Photo Montage Video" on DVD, produced by WEVA International members.
Applying creative visual artistry, the "Photo Montage Video" for the winning couples will feature a compilation of the prospective bride and groom's chosen images (apx. 50), home video clips (if available) and select music and memories to trace the couple's life history and personal relationship as a couple. The final production will premiere on their Wedding Day in a special celebration screening at their reception.
The WEVA competition judges, all professional videographers, will select two winners and runners up in March 2006. Winners will be announced on the WEVA website. One montage video will be produced in the spring; the other will be produced next summer.
This special co-promotion carries with it extraordinary nationwide exposure in the bridal community for the selected videographers, and for the entire WEVA International membership. The selected wedding couples from Modern Bride Connections and the winning videographers from WEVA will be featured in both print and on the Web, including a link for all Modern Bride Connection readers and website visitors to view the winning videos!

To be eligible, all entries must be received by WEVA International by the official competition deadline of 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 29, 2006. The deadline is firm. Entries cannot be accepted past the official deadline.
Unlike other WEVA video competitions, a video produced for this special competition is acceptable for entry, along with work already produced (one entry per company). Should you be selected to produce the Montage Video for Modern Bride, the same style (as close as possible) to your entry submission must be used.
