Aleratec Debuts Robotic Auto Publisher One
January 12, 2006
Las Vegas, NV - Alera Technologies, Inc., developer and manufacturer of Aleratec USB, DVD/CD duplicating, DVD/CD publishing and digital imaging solutions, introduced its DVD/CD Auto Publisher One ($2,999), a robotic autoloading disc duplicator with a built in inkjet label printer. It is fully enclosed, with heavy duty metal construction designed to protect disc copying and printing operations.
The DVD/CD Auto Publisher One has a 75 disc capacity. With a 16x DVD/CD recorder, and high speed 4800 dpi full-color photo-quality disc printer, it produces 20 typical DVDs with brilliant color labels per hour, according to the company. Alera says that the DVD/CD Auto Publisher One supports the smallest ink droplet technology (3.0 pl) with 16.7 million colors. Mastering, Recording and Labeling Software Suite is included free with purchase, and the DVD/CD Auto Publisher One requires only one USB 2.0 Connection to your computer.
"The DVD/CD Auto Publisher One is a result of Aleratec's continuing investigation into inkjet printing technologies, robotic mechanisms, and form factors, looking for the ideal combination for the full color desktop disc publishing environment," stated Perry Solomon, President and CEO. "We are proud to offer the DVD/CD Auto Publisher One, a rugged and robust solution that out performs other desktop publishers, providing 200% higher disc capacity for unattended operation, 4800 dpi high resolution brilliant colored labels using standard readily available ink cartridges, and a powerful new disc publishing software suite is included free with purchase. We are confident we will successfully exceed the expectations of our most critical Prosumer users."
With the DVD/CD Auto Publisher One, Aleratec has added an inkjet desktop publisher to its growing line of desktop disc publishers. Aleratec has made it a priority to lower the cost of disc publishing and using readily available standard HP cartridges that they say reduces the cost of consumables a very significant 25 to 50%. Not only are proprietary consumables expensive, they may be impossible to get when you are working on that overdue project late at night. The HP ink cartridges are available at most office, electronics and general merchandise retailers.
With its fully enclosed design and an inkjet printer engine that uses standard HP ink cartridges, the estimated street price of $2,999 of the DVD/CD Auto Publisher One makes it cost effective for event videographers.
