VideoEgg Publisher Unveiled at Macworld

San Francisco, CA - VideoEgg, Inc., an innovator in web-based video publishing solutions, announced support for the Mac with the introduction of the VideoEgg Publisher for Mac.
The VideoEgg Publisher is a small website plug-in designed to simplify the way videos are captured, edited and published online. A "universal adapter" that captures directly from hundreds of devices and reads dozens of formats, the VideoEgg Publisher allows internet users to publish video in a format that anyone can watch without worrying about player compatibilities, encoding settings, or extra software.

Unlike most Mac-created videos, which are posted in Apple's QuickTime format, videos posted with the VideoEgg Publisher for Mac play back in the Flash format, which can be almost universally viewed by both Mac and PC users. "For Mac users who have long struggled to share video content with PC users, this represents a tremendous step forward," Sladek adds.
The VideoEgg Publisher's straightforward approach to online video publishing focuses on simplifying digital video, designed to make it as easy to post videos to the web as it is to post photos. The VideoEgg Publisher lets users grab video from a digital camcorder, digital camera, video file, Web cam or mobile phone. Once captured, users can upload the video without needing to understand the complexities of video formats, encoders, players or servers. Throughout the process, the VideoEgg Publisher uses a simple and familiar Mac-like drag-and-drop interface. Users can also perform basic edits before encoding and posting the video.
Availability
The company says that VideoEgg Publisher for the Mac will be widely available by January 16th. No price was given at press time. The VideoEgg Publisher is also available immediately for integration into partner Websites.
