Petrol Introduces New Camporter Camera Bag
December 23, 2005
Tel Aviv, Israel - Petrol, producer of professional bags and protection for production equipment, introduces the Camporter. This lightweight camera bag is uniquely designed to carry popular DV/HDV camcorders like the Sony PD-170, HVR-Z1U, HDRFX1, and HVR-A1U, and Panasonic’s DVX-100A/B and AG-HVX200 with the mattebox firmly in place.
Constructed of heavy-duty Cordura and tough ballistic nylon, the Camporter features dual-padded wingflaps that open for two-way access to the carrier’s bright orange-cushioned interior. The main compartment was designed to provide room for inserting a camera without disturbing the mic, viewfinder or mattebox system. Camporter’s anterior chamber can be used for carrying accessories. A removable rigid divider offers two levels of slots and pockets for securing lenses, filters, batteries, and more. Interior front and rear mesh dividers provide additional storage.
Other features include exterior side pockets, bottom risers for extra protection from below, dual-directional zippers for fast access, adjustable ergonomic padded shoulder strap and an interlock carrying handle. The Camporter can also be used with the PUBP harness for carrying backpack style.
The Petrol Camporter is 7.1-15.75” (18-40cm) long, 9.84” (25cm) wide, 9.05” (23cm) high, and weighs 74.4 oz. (2.11kg). The bag comes in Petrol’s handsome Blue/Black Combo.
