Porta-Brace Introduces Black/Red Color Choice

North Bennington, VT - After more than 30 years as the designer and producer of its signature color blue for field video production cases, Porta-Brace, Inc. has introduced a second color choice for its popular mini-DV carrying case line -- midnight black with red accents. This second color choice is available at standard cost and delivery times and has begun shipping to video professionals worldwide.
Located in North Bennington, Vermont, where Portabrace brand cases are produced by hand and largely to order, Porta-Brace, Inc. is a popular provider of soft protective cases for field production work. Historically associated with professional Broadcast and ENG professionals, the Portabrace trademark blue & suede styling can now be found worldwide in all video and audio production settings.
With the growth of hand-held digital recorders, the audio-video production industry has mushroomed in recent years, and so have the requests for custom case designs and styles. According to Porta-Brace, Inc. Lead Designer Ken Barry, “We’ve always quietly yet enthusiastically accommodated special design and styling requests. It’s central to our strong customer relationships. But recently, we’ve noticed that requests for special materials and customization have exceeded all historical levels. And demand for black, particularly in the mini-DV range of our line, represented the largest percentage of special requests.”
