WEVA at MIVA-Detroit Nov. 2 for 'BATTLE' Screening; and Presenting Full-Day After Effects Nov. 3

Sarasota, FL - The Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) will be “on the road” starting next month through April 2006 to bring “hands-on” product-specific NLE training using supplied laptops to wedding & event videographers in cities across the country in new, extended-session training open to all videographers.
City-stops being planned already include Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Dallas, and New York City, with others cities to be announced soon.
All-Day After Effects November 3rd
Pre-Registration is now open for the WEVA Institute full-day Adobe After Effects training on November 3 in Detroit (using supplied laptops) presented by WEVA EXPO featured speaker and BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS! award-winning videographer Josh Fozzard (watch the video below!). Bring your own preconfigured laptop to the workshop and receive discount admission. A box lunch will be provided.

Nov. 2nd - BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS!
On Wednesday evening, November 2nd, WEVA and The Tape Company (www.thetapecompany.com) will co-sponsor the monthly meeting of the Michigan Independent Videographers Association (www.MIVAonline.com) at the Marriott Courtyard in Farmington Hills, MI (Detroit Metro area).
At the meeting, WEVA's Director of Educational Development John Zale will screen the special wedding videos entered in WEVA's "Battle of the Wedding Editing Styles" from the BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS! presentation this past August at the WEVA 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo.
See the winning results when the awesome entries from this first-ever, world cup wedding editing competition matching videographers from the United States, England, Australia, and Mexico, are screened at the MIVA meeting.
All contenders from each country edited the exact same wedding footage, shot by MIVA member Lee Thomas, winner of the 2004 WEVA Creative Excellence Competition Gold Award for Pre-Ceremony Coverage. Which edited video is best? YOU be the judge! All videographers present will cast their vote that night.

Also at the November 2nd evening meeting -- WEVA EXPO and WEVA Town Meeting featured speaker Josh Fozzard (Moonlight Memory Productions - Bourbonnais, IL) will show how to enhance your productions by applying cool After Effects techniques and creativity (a sneak peak of WEVA Institute's all-day After Effects Workshop set for November 3).
And...Tim Traylor of Beautiful Ones Video will present "Lessons Learned." The November 2nd meeting is free of charge to all professional videographers and their guests and includes complimentary pizza and soft drinks for all attendees.
“WEVA Institute workshops will also be held in conjunction with the 8th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour which will kick off in Atlanta after the first of the year,” said Zale.
