The 30GB model measures 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43 inches; the 60GB model is 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.55 inches. It has a 2.5-inch, 320 x 240 pixel TFT. Apple says it holds up to 150 hours of video. The video capacity is based on 4 minutes per H.264 750-Kbps video combined with 128-Kbps audio.
According to the company, the iPod also holds up to 25,000 photos and has a battery life of up to 20 hours. The 30GB iPod is 45% thinner than the original, and the 60GB unit shaves 10% off the original size. Plus users have a new color to choose from -- black.
The Apple Click Wheel gives you access to your music, photo and video library —from one thumb. Control volume and browse using the touch-sensitive surface. Play. Pause. Rewind and fast-forward. Rate your favorites. Create playlists on the go. Launch photo slideshows.
The new iPod plays video or photo slideshows on TV via the optional Dock Apple Click Wheel Accessory that works with the new Apple Remote Charges. It syncs via USB Works with Mac OS X or Windows 2000/XP Syncs contacts, calendars and to-do lists.
