Campbell, CA - FOCUS Enhancements announced that they will showcase their new High Definition FS-4 HD and FS-4Pro HD portable Direct To EditŪ (DTE) recorders at the WEVA EXPO 2005, August 9-10 in booth #221.
The FireStore FS-4 family of Portable DTE Recorders is designed for HD and DV field applications. The company said that the FireStore is "ideal for WEVA members because it enables wedding and event videographers to record HDV or DV streams via FireWire from leading video camcorders and decks including Sony's HDV and JVC's ProHD video camcorders."
FireStore connects directly to a Mac/PC notebook or desktop, allowing users to edit content directly from the FS-4 - maintaining native NLE HD or DV file formats throughout the entire production process. Users can choose from the most popular NLE formats including Avid OMF, Canopus AVI, Matrox AVI, QuickTime as well as 720p or 1080i MPEG2 transport streams.
