WEVA NEWS MINUTE: Panasonic's HVX200 at HD EXPO

Chicago, IL - Panasonic’s new AG-HVX200 hand-held HD/SD DVCPRO camcorder was displayed in prototype form at the HD EXPO in Chicago and WEVA NEWS MINUTE producer Bruce Himmelblau recorded a close-up “walk-through” of the new unit’s versatility for WEVA-TV.

Calling it the world's first 1080i/720p/480i multi-format camcorder, Panasonic Broadcast and Television System’s President John Baisley introduced the AG-HVX200 in April at Apple’s NAB press conference. (To see the WEVA NEWS MINUTE that captured the unveiling live for WEVA-TV Click Here.)
Weighing about 5 pounds, the AG-HVX200 ($5,995) shoots on a P2 card and contains six user scene files, three user set-up buttons, and Camera Set-Up Memory (up to eight camera set-ups can be saved to an SD Memory card.
Scheduled to ship this fall, the new HVX200 SD/HD camcorder will be on display for professional wedding & event videographers in August in the Panasonic Broadcast booth at the 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo (August 8-11).
