YesVideo Releases Digital Scrapbook Software

Santa Clara, CA - YesVideo, the digital media authoring company, today announced its Professional Services division will begin offering YesDVD Digital Scrapbook™ multimedia software on DVDs for wedding and event videographers. People who review DVDs with this unique program can add photos, titles and music to the video, then share these newly-created screenshows via e-mail.
Designed to be a tightly-integrated, easy-to-use application, it provides video editing, photo editing and a multimedia storyboard without the need to install complicated and expensive editing software.
Now wedding and event videographers who use YesVideo to transfer their videotapes onto DVD can add Digital Scrapbook software along with their video. According to the company, Digital Scrapbook software is simple to use, with nothing to install; just insert the YesDVD into the DVD drive of a Windows PC.
YesVideo reports that videographers who have used this software have imagined uses such as…
- selling their source footage in addition to the edited video
- giving their customers a way to get high-quality photos from the DVD
- empowering customers to spread the word about their services through e-mailed clips
- providing a unique benefit of using their videography service
- delivering this software as a way to edit long dance recitals and talent shows

Customers of YesVideo's Professional Services division have a simple way to try this software: until July 15th they have the option of adding this to their orders at no charge. After that date, this feature will be available for just $4 per DVD.

According to the company, Digital Scrapbook is significantly easier to use that other video and photo editing software in that:
- With Digital Scrapbook as companion software on a YesDVD, all forms of videotape, movie film, 35mm slides, photo prints, and digital images that have been transferred to a YesDVD can now be easily edited and customized using Digital Scrapbook.
- Digital Scrapbook has the video content intelligently chaptered and loaded in its Library, making the video ready to edit. In the process of creating the finished YesDVD, the "heavy lifting" of transcoding the video into MPEG2 files has already been performed.
- Digital Scrapbook enables consumers to easily capture and manipulate still images from their video footage.
- Photo editing functions include cropping, rotating, and red-eye reduction, as well as easy selection of video clips.
- Clips made in Digital Scrapbook can easily be converted to Windows Media Video (WMV) format for emailing to friends and family, or for burning a new DVD.
- Digital Scrapbook includes an easy-to-use graphical user interface, with drag-and-drop and point-and-click editing operation.
