JVC 10-inch HDTV Multi-Format Monitor with VU Meter

Wayne, NJ - JVC Professional Products Company announced the addition of its new DT-V100CGU high definition (HD) digital TV (DTV) monitor to its line-up of HD display products. This versatile 10-inch multi-format monitor is designed for control rooms, editing stations or remote vans; the DT-V100CGU offers users a cost-effective single-monitor solution.
On-screen audio monitoring is a significant new feature for producers and broadcasters; it confirms that audio is being broadcast. For this reason the DT-V100CGU features on-screen display of audio levels from the audio embedded in the SDI and HD-SDI, generating audio level meters that move back and forth with the sound.
“The DT-V100’s multi-format functionality and audio level monitoring capability give users the ability to modify the monitor to their changing needs without having to purchase another display or separate audio unit,” said Edgar Shane, product manager of JVC Professional Products Company. “JVC designed this monitor to be an extremely adaptable single-monitor solution at an affordable price.”
The DT-V100CGU is said to provide full multi-format compatibility, accepting signals of all major formats available in the marketplace, including HD, SD, PAL NTSC, 480p, 1080i, 720p or 24pSF cinema configurations. Users can also customize the monitor by inserting optional input cards into the input slots provided. Three input cards are available: HD-SDI, composite video (BNC x2) and component (Y, Pb, Pr).
The unit offers side-by-side rack-mountable configuration (5U high), designed for mobile news vans, post-production, facility quality control and monitoring use. Basic features include zoom, area marker and HD/SD tally connector. In addition, the DT-V100CGU features an RJ-45 remote connector. No price was available at press time.
