Upgraded Dual-Monitor USB to SVGA Adapter
May 12, 2005
Vista, CA - TRITTON Technologies, a provider of advanced networking, storage and peripheral products, announced its newest, enhanced SEE2, said to be the industry's first USB 2.0 to SVGA adapter. The $99 MSRP SEE2 adapter now supports higher resolution 1280 x 1024 video with up to 16-bit color, up from its previous maximum resolution of 1024 x 768.
Desktop and notebook computer users can now instantly connect an additional monitor, LCD or projector to an available USB 2.0 port for extended viewing and presenting. Prior to TRITTON's SEE2, users would have to open their PC case and manually install a specialized, and expensive, dual video card through a complicated process.
The SEE2 is said to increase productivity by allowing users to see expanded desktop applications and windows across two screens, maintaining display continuity. Ideal for surfing and chatting, word processing, photo and video editing, financial analyzing/monitoring and viewing videos, users can view multiple windows and multi-task without overlapping windows on one screen.
"The SEE2 really changes the landscape for everyday and enthusiast PC users, allowing them to extend their viewing experience without the complicated hassles of installing and configuring a specialized video card," said Chris Von Huben, president of TRITTON Technologies. "SEE2 adds a whole new dimension to the computing experience, broadening their capabilities for real world multitasking--eliminating the need to constantly hit the 'alt-tab keys' to switch between windows."
The SEE2 supports resolutions at 1280 x 1024 (8,16 bits), 1024 x 768 (8,16 bits), 800 x 600 (8, 16, 32 bits), and 640 x 480 (8, 16, 32 bits). The USB adapter is compatible with Windows 2000/XP systems with an available USB 2.0 port.
