Flyboy MPEG-4 Multimedia Player Now Shipping

Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Video Without Boundaries, Inc. announced that the first commercial shipments of the MediaREADY Flyboy(TM) Multimedia Player have begun.
The MediaREADY Flyboy is a 5"x3"x1" portable device that joins video, music, and photos in a what is said to be a convenient, powerful and simple-to-use unit. With MPEG4 video playback and recording, the MediaREADY Flyboy(TM) can carry hours of music and video and thousands of pictures.
The Flyboy has a $349 MSRP and features a 3.5-inch LCD screen, an integrated hard drive and built-in speakers. In addition to holding hours of MPEG4 movies, MP3 songs and thousands of digital pictures, the MediaREADY Flyboy(TM) also doubles as a digital voice recorder and data storage center. Users can enjoy all their favorite audio/video entertainment using the earphones or built-in speakers.

"According to IDC market research, the portable media player market is forecasted to quadruple to 50 million units by 2008, and our tiny device is gaining a lot of attention with the media and with retailers. The Linux-based MediaREADY FlyBoy Portable Media Player is said to record up to 80 hours of video, store over 200,000 digital pictures or hold up to 740 hours of music on its 40 GB hard drive. The internal USB 2.0 hard drive allows the Flyboy to receive files from a connected MediaREADY 4000, MediaREADY5000 or a PC.
It comes with AC/DC adapter, Lithium-ion battery, carry case, stereo earphones, IR remote control, A/V cable and USB 2.0 cable.
