AJA's New Converter Products for SD, HD Video

Grass Valley, CA - AJA Video Systems added five new converters to its desktop video product line at NAB, including multi-channel converters, bi-directional ADDAs and monitor extender/converters:
HD10AM—HD/SDI Dual Rate 8 Channel AES Audio Embedder/Disembedder. The HD10AM is dual rate, with 8 channels AES I/O. The Disembedder is always functional, providing 4 AES outputs. The Embedder is user selectable, on a channel pair basis, to either "pass" SDI input audio or to embed input AES audio from the breakout cable supplied. AES inputs are sample rate converted to a 48Hz rate synchronous to the video output. The HD10AM automatically detects and configures to the input video standard.
HD10AMA—HD/SD Dual Rate 4 Channel Analog Audio Embedder/Disembedder. The HD10AMA is dual rate, with four channels balanced analog audio I/O. Analog audio levels are selectable. The HD10AM automatically detects and configures to the input video standard.
ADA4 4-Channel Bi-directional AES/EBU audio A/D and D/A. The ADA4 can be configured as a four channel D/A, or two channel A/D and two channel D/A. Reference input and synchronization is automatic. Audio levels are configurable via dipswitch control.
HDP4 HD-SDI/SDI to DVI-D and Audio Converter. The HDP4 converts HD-SDI/SDI to DVI-D for LCD or Plasma monitors and provides four DVI-D and audio outputs. It has a built-in high quality scaling engine and will automatically size 4 x 3 or 16 x 9 inputs to many DVI-D monitors.
D5PSW SDI/ASI Protection Switch. The D5PSW accepts two SDI/ASI inputs, Primary and secondary, and automatically switches to the Secondary input if the Primary input is not present or is not a valid SDI/ ASI signal. An SDI/ASI input is considered valid if a proper SMPTE 259 stream is present. The D5PSW
has three SDI/ASI outputs.
