Lowel Ego Digital Imaging Light Unveiled

Brooklyn, NY - Lowel introduced a new tabletop fluorescent softlight, designed for digital still and video applications.
Ego can be used for DV talking head shots, digital still portraits, and webcam desktop video conferencing, the company reports, and features easy set-up.
Lowel Ego comes supplied with two (2) custom 27W screw-in compact daylight fluorescent lamps with high Color Rendering Index for much more natural & realistic color balance than standard fluorescent lamps, the manufacturer describes. Also included is a hinge-folded white bounce card for easily reflected fill.
The bulbs are 5500° K (daylight) color temperature, with a CRI (color rendering index) of 90+. Each lamp is 27 Watts, with an output roughly equivalent to a 100 Watt standard incandescent light bulb. Lowel rates bulb life at 5,000 to 10,000 hours.
Replacement bulbs are priced at $20.00; the complete Lowel Ego with lamps and bounce reflector is priced at $125.00 USD.
