Manfrotto Intros Two-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod

Ramsay, NJ - Manfrotto has introduced its new 351MVCF, its first two-stage, carbon fiber video tripod.
Stage one features a twin leg design, while a single leg is used for stage two, the company describes. The 351MVCF is lightweight by design, combining composite materials such as aluminum, magnesium, carbon fiber and reinforced nylon plastic in an innovative support solutions for DV, Mini DV and compact ENG cameras.
The 351MVCF is compatible with a number of pro video heads from Manfrotto, as it incorporates a removable 75mm half ball. The tripod’s carbon fiber legs have two angle adjustments; if they have to be adjusted to an angle of 180°, it is recommended that the tripod be used in conjunction with the Manfrotto 350SPRB mid-level spreader. The 351MVCF also comes complete with double spiked feet for ultra stability. The tripod can support a maximum payload of up to 28.6 pounds at heights ranging from 24 inches to 58 inches. When fully closed, the tripod measures 27.9 inches at only 6.8 pounds.
