ADS Tech Launches New PYRO A/V Link DVD Edition

Las Vegas, NV - ADS Tech unveiled PYRO A/V Link DVD Edition, an integrated suite of modules for capturing, video editing, audio editing, CG graphics, video painting and DVD authoring. It combines an OHCI-compliant 1394/FireWire card and ADS Tech’s 1394/Firewire-based Analog/Digital Video (DV) converter with full versions of Ulead Media Studio Pro 7, Ulead HD Plug-in 2 and Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0.
With PYRO A/V Link DVD Edition, video can be captured from any DV Camcorder -- even the new HDV camcorders -- or DV Deck, an analog VCR or an analog camcorder, the manufacturer describes, so that content from other video sources such as VHS, S-VHS, Hi-8, Digi-Beta, etc. can be integrated into a project.
The Ulead software included with the new PYRO bundle complements these features, enabling users to edit and transcode across formats. Ulead’s advanced technology also leverages the increased read and write speed of ADS Tech’s FireWire solutions. For example, users can preview their video in real-time so they can see their edits immediately without having to wait for it to render. In addition to being able to output video to their PC in real-time, they can also output video to a TV screen or studio monitor.
Completed projects can be published to DVD, DLT or DVD-9 (dual layer) with DVD Workshop 2, Ulead’s award-winning DVD authoring solution. The robust yet intuitive software offers sophisticated tools for complex menu navigation, multiple subtitles, and multiple audio tracks with Dolby® Digital AC-3 encoding, encryption and region coding.
ADS Tech has also included Ulead’s HD Plug-in 2.0 option. The plug-in combines with MediaStudio Pro 7 to provide users of the new HD (High Definition Video) camcorders with a full-featured, all-in-one HDV editing solution. With the plug-in, users can capture video from HD cameras such as the JVC GR-HD1, JVC JY-HD10 and Sony HDR-FX1 camcorders in NTSC or PAL and can complete a professional edit before outputting the video to tape or a disc.
The complete digital video post production suite includes the PYRO A/V Link external device, a 6-ft. RCA A/V Cable, a 6-ft. S-Video cable, two 1394 cables, ADS Tech PYRO PCI-64 FireWire Interface Card, and a power supply with the full retail versions of Ulead Media Pro 7, the Ulead HD Plug-in 2 and Ulead DVD Workshop 2 as well as user guides.
