Switronix Introduces New Chargers and Ultra High Capacity Battery
April 15, 2005
Rockville Centre, NY - Switronix will unveil newly designed chargers and a 190 watt-hour battery at NAB.
The new digital chargers feature an anodized aluminum chassis and a high impact molded plastic front with an inset LCD, the company described, with a recessed handle on the bottom of the charger for easy transport.
Switronix will also show their new XT Multi-Chem chargers at NAB, adding an analyze/discharge feature to its popular XC digital charger to extend the service life of the battery.
In addition, the company has added a GP Mobile charger available in V-type and 3-Stud mountings, with the identical charging algorithms as in the PRO-X series chargers. The mobile charger also acts simultaneously as a power supply when mounted to the back of a camera. The GP Mobile can power a 30w camera, charge a battery, plus it adds the feature of a 4-pin XLR connector, to power a 35w light, all at the same time. Its universal wide range AC input (90-250 VAC 50/60Hz) makes it the ideal travel charger. In the event AC power is interrupted, the GP Mobile will automatically switch over to the power of the battery mounted for charging, without delay.
Finally, the company will debut their new 190wh brick battery, available with and without the Intellicom RT Display. The battery features a 14.8v design with a 13Ah capacity rating. The battery weighs under 3.5lbs and is only 1” greater in depth than the 90wh and 130wh batteries offered.
The new products will be available in May 2005.
