MacroSystem Announces New Digital Video Editor
April 06, 2005
Boulder, CO - MacroSystem Digital Video has unveiled its newest standalone video editor, the Claro.
The Claro is versatile and smaller than a standard VCR, but includes a 120 GB hard drive, 256 RAM and an A09 DVD burner.
The Claro requires only a monitor (either VGA or standard) for users to begin editing and burning fully-authored DVDs, the manufacturer describes. It comes with a built in card reader for easy access to both digital camera stills and periodic software upgrades. The Claro has digital inputs and both digital and analog outputs.
Although it does not contain the DV DICON hardware which allows for professional DVD authoring that is found in the rest of the Casablanca line, the Claro’s DVD burner will burn DVDs at 8X speed, and allow dual-layer DVD burning with dual-layer media to create DVDs up to four hours long.
As part of the Casablanca Claro package, and for all other Casablanca editors, MacroSystem offers free training at its Casablanca University in Boulder, CO. MacroSystem also provides free technical support to Casablanca owners.
