Belden Adds Hi-Res Component Video Cables
March 28, 2005
Richmond, IN - Belden has added Banana Peel Hi-Res Component Video Cables to its Brilliance line, designed for higher frequency and longer distance transmissions.
They feature precise 75-ohm impedance to provide greater signal integrity and optimized whole-system performance in the most demanding applications - such as high-resolution video on large screens, VGA, HDTV, high-res CAD, animation, editing and special effects video.
Belden Hi-Res Component Video Cables are ideal for high-resolution VGA monitor and projection imaging in a host of settings, including corporate boardrooms, command and control centers, multi-purpose auditoriums, teleconferencing centers, post-production facilities, and sophisticated home theaters.
Belden Hi-Res Component Video Cables are now bundled via Belden's Banana Peel design in which the individual coax cables are affixed to a center spline, eliminating the need for an outer jacket. This patented design results in faster, easier installation and lower labor costs - installers just peel the individual cables off the center spline and they are ready for termination. Color coding and clearly visible print legends also make the individual cable components easy to identify. In addition, the jacketless composite cables are more flexible than traditional cables and have a
smaller diameter, so the cable's overall bend radius is improved and use of a smaller size conduit is possible.
Belden Banana Peel High-Res cables are offered in two sizes to fit any distance and any requirement:
-- 25 AWG. Series 1281 and Series 1282 bundled cables are comprised of Mini RG-59 coaxes, and feature 25 AWG solid tinned copper conductors for lower attenuation and easier termination.
-- 20 AWG. Series 1283 bundled cables are comprised of RG-59 style plenum-rated Precision Video coaxes, with 20 AWG solid bare copper center conductors, Beldfoil shields used in combination with 95 percent tinned copper shield braids, and flexible PVC jackets rated for plenum use.
