New Digital Video Extension Cables from Gefen
March 25, 2005
Woodland Hills, CA - Gefen has released its DVI Booster, a small unit that corrects video signal degradation over stretches of DVI copper cables used to extend a display from its high definition source.
High definition video transmitted through DVI cables can break down beyond 15 feet in distance and all DVI copper cables experience this problem when used at resolutions of 1080i or higher. In operation, the DVI Booster sits between the DVI copper cable and the display, correcting faults in the digital video it receives from the cable before passing it through to the display.
The DVI Booster has proven effective in not only correcting cable faults from the video it receives, the manufacturer reports, but also propelling the fixed signal an additional distance. The DVI Booster works with HDCP compliant content and DVI displays and cables.
The cable is available online for $249 MSRP.
