March 24, 2005
Toronto, ON - Vidvox has released Grid2, the Windows XP version of its Mac-based video editing and sequencing software for playing back video sequences with external audio accompaniment.

The new release has a playback engine built specifically for Windows XP that uses QuickTime and OpenGL technologies for high quality real-time playback at high resolutions. It features full MIDI support.
VIDVOX has also released the latest rev of its beta release of GRID Pro video application software with real time video playback, mixing, transitions, audio triggers, as well as text and recorder capabilities.

VDMX features G4/G5 Altivec acceleration, native YUV processing, frame syncronized processing and OpenGL hardware acceleration. VDMX comes with over 25 modules and 25 effects plug-ins. Mac system requirements include Mac OS 10.3.2 or later; G4 800 MHz Processor [1.25+ GHz recommended], 256 MB of RAM [1 GB of RAM recommended] and QuickTime 6.5 or later.
