Anchor Digital Launches Widescreen DVDs

Brooklyn, NY - Anchor Digital is now offering 16 x 9 widescreen versions of select Interactive DVD products for video professionals.
The new products, "Deluxe WS" and "Special Edition WS," are a first in the video professional industry, the company reports.
The 16 x 9 widescreen products are an opportunity for videographers to offer widescreen Interactive DVDs that play correctly in both 16 x 9 widescreen televisions and standard 4 x 3 televisions as a letterbox format.
"Widescreen is becoming more mainstream in the consumer household," said Barry Rosenstock of Anchor Digital. "Shows such as ER and The West Wing are already broadcast in widescreen format, and it only made sense that videographers and their customers would soon demand the same for their weddings and other events."
The new products underwent a trial testing period to ensure television compatibility and professional quality.
