Pinnacle Enhances HDV Workflow

Mountain View, CA - Pinnacle Liquid Edition version 6.1 is now available from Pinnacle Systems.
It offers expanded HDV capabilities that provide true end-to-end HDV workflow, the company describes, with the inclusion of comprehensive deck and device support for Sony’s popular prosumer and professional lines of HDV cameras and decks.
With Liquid Edition version 6.1, editors also gain a real-time full screen preview of their editing timeline for all formats, including HDV, directly on a computer monitor, allowing editors to preview their work on location, or anytime a video monitor is not available. These new features, combined with Liquid Edition’s SmartRT true multi-stream native HDV editing, provide a robust end-to-end workflow solution for HDV production.
Liquid Edition offers thousands of real-time SD & HD effects with SmartRTPinnacle real-time compositing and effects, supporting up to 10 streams with real-time effects including 2D, true 3D, advanced color correction and chroma/luma key effects. aamong others.
All-format Editing from SD to HD with SmartEDITLiquid now includes expanded native support for just about any SD and HD format (DV, MPEG-2 IBP, MPEG-2 I Frame, HDV and even uncompressed) in the same timeline. This eliminates the need for untimely and damaging transcoding for HDV output and DVD authoring.
Integrated DVD/VCD/SVCD authoring with motion menus, motion buttons and automatic links directly from the Liquid timelineis featured, and over 40 templates provided Native MPEG-2 IBP editing eliminates the need for time-consuming renders at the output stage
