Iomega Super DVD Drives Ship with Sonic MyDVD v6

Novato, CA - Sonic Solutions and Iomega Corporation are shipping Sonic's MyDVD v6 software with the newly announced Iomega Super DVD Writer 16x16 Dual-Format USB 2.0 Drive, bringing new features and ease of use to Iomega Super DVD drive customers.
Sonic MyDVD v6 adds many important new features to enhance the DVD creation experience for Iomega customers, both for video and slideshow creation:
-- Free-form or automatic menu button layout
-- Direct picture capture from Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) compliant digital cameras (supported on Windows XP & MCE operating systems)
-- Animated menus
-- Support for MPEG-4 and DivX video files
-- True anamorphic 16 x 9 support for widescreen movie authoring
-- Improved photo slideshow creation with drag-and-drop assembly and up to 999 photos per slideshow
With MyDVD v6, Iomega Super DVD users can customize their video creations with new built-in styles and over 100 new transitions. In addition, a new Disc Importer feature helps edit the contents of existing DVDs created by non-Sonic products.
Sonic MyDVD v6 software for the Iomega Super DVD drive is compatible with computers running Windows 98SE/98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP (Home/Pro/MCE). Supported capture devices include DV and Digital8 camcorders via IEEE-1394/FireWire/i.Link, MPEG capture devices, analog capture devices, and DirectShow-compliant capture devices.
Designed for the evolving needs of home and small business users and supporting the new 8.5 GB double-layer (DL) DVD+R recording standard, the Iomega Super DVD Writer 16x16 Dual-Format USB 2.0 Drive gives consumers an outstanding tool for managing videos, data, music and photos.
The new Iomega Super DVD QuikTouch Video Burner 16x Dual-Format USB 2.0 Drive combines a DVD recorder with a video capture card. The result is a versatile desktop drive that can accept data from either a PC or a video source, burning single- or double-layer video DVDs, VCDs (Video CDs), and conventional data DVDs and CDs, the manufacturer describes.
