San Francisco, CA - Sunnyside Software releases RayCaster 1.0, a live audio/video encoder that employs up to five simultaneous, real-time Windows Media encoders to reach the broadest audience possible with a high level of failover protection.
RayCaster’s interface allows instant customization of video and audio parameters of all encoders, which can be started and stopped together with one click, the company describes.
It provides detailed preview and status information, and its ability to run multiple encoders from the same DV source means users can output multiple versions of a live remote webcast event with a single notebook computer - or use two computers to provide redundant failover for up to five different versions of a webcast.
RayCaster is available for electronic download for an introductory price of $379; the special price expires on February 28, 2005. The price goes to $439 after the introductory period. A physical copy can be purchased for an additional $15.00 shipping/handling fee.
