Santa Monica, CA - New G-DRIVE mini portable storage solutions from G-Technology Inc. will be available in February in 60, 80 and 100 gigabyte (GB) capacities. They are compatible with Mac (pictured) and PC systems.
The drives are equipped with high performance FireWire and USB interfaces and feature unique fan-less cooling systems designed to silently dissipate heat for superior reliability and data integrity, the manufacturer describes.
Weighing less than 9 oz., G-DRIVE mini comes with up to 100 GB of storage space. The units are bus powered, eliminating the need for external AC power supply.
G-DRIVE mini versions include:
FW800 (2) FireWire 800 ports and (1) USB 2.0 port
FW400 (1) FireWire 400 port and (1) USB 2.0 port
USB (1) USB 2.0 port
All G-DRIVE minis feature:
High-performance 5400 or 7200 RPM disk drive with 8 MB cache
Ultra-portable and stylish aluminum enclosure with unique cooling technology
Compact enclosure - just 4.9 x 3.2 x .88 and less than 9 oz.
