MPEG Conversion Tool from Drop DV
January 03, 2005
Toronto, ON - The latest versino of DropDV, version 2.0, is currently available.
DropDV is a Mac OS X mini-application (a droplet) for converting MPEG video into DV video streams. After conversion, video can be edited with iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or any other DV video editing system.
DropDV converts MPEG video files from still cameras, MPEG-based video cameras, Tivo and ReplayTV MPEG files, as well as any other MPEG file source.
Totally re-written since its first release, DropDV 2.0 has a new look, faster processing, a slick Macintosh user experience and all of the features of the original DropDV 1.0. Installing DropDV does not put components or libraries onto the host computer system.
DropDV uses a high quality bicubic video scaling algorithm to give DV video images that are as sharp as possible given the source material, the manufacturer describes.
Features:

Audio/video synchronization
Drag-and-drop interface
Uses high quality bicubic scaling for the best video image
Full YUV pipeline (no conversions to RGB)
